What's Happening at the Ranch in July

July is in full swing around here. Hay season, hot weather, show prep, and a whole lot of good things happening. Here's what's going on at the ranch this month.

July is coming in hot, literally.

We are right in the middle of hay season, keeping up with all the ranch chores that come with this time of year, and I know a lot of you are doing the same. It is that kind of month where you just put your head down and get after it.

On the fun side, our boys and clients have been doing really well in the show pen. Our clients are taking their young horses to the show pen and walking away with excellent placings, congratulations! Our boys are getting ready to head to state, and we could not be more proud of them. There is nothing better than watching the next generation step up and shine.

Still Living on the High From the Spring Ranch Retreat

Our Spring Ranch Retreat was an absolute success, and honestly, we are still talking about it.

The energy, the breakthroughs, the connections, it was everything we hoped for and more. We have heard from retreat attendees inside the Ranch Circle about how that experience has genuinely changed the way they ride. More confidence. Doors opening. Things clicking that were not clicking before. That is what happens when you get fully immersed and focused.

Because of the demand, we opened a Fall Retreat in September which filled immediately. So we opened a second in October and we are down to one spot left.

If that spot is calling your name, do not wait, it will go fast. For more information on the October Ranch Retreat click here.

If you are not ready for this fall, get your name on the 2027 waitlist now. We want these retreats filled with people already in our community who know us, trust the process, and are ready to move forward. Small groups. Personalized attention. Real progress starting exactly where you are. Join the 2027 Retreat Waitlist

Because it's not about where you are at, It is about where you are going.

Keep the Momentum Going, Join the Ranch Circle

One of the things we are most passionate about is what happens after. After the retreat, after the clinic, after your horse comes home from training. That is where the Ranch Circle comes in.

This is where we continue to walk alongside you. Monthly challenges to keep your horsemanship moving, a trusted community of people who get it, and our monthly Barn Talk Zoom call, which honestly is our favorite night of the month.

Our Next Barn Talk is Monday, July 14th. These calls are real, warm, honest conversations where we push each other forward and we leave inspired. Our members call it the best night of the month and we could not agree more.

If you are looking for a place to keep growing between events this is it.

What We're Focusing On

Something I keep coming back to this month:

The pattern is not where the problem lives. It is just where it shows up.

So many riders drill the same maneuver over and over trying to fix what they see and the problem stays. Because the real issue is usually one layer deeper. A gap in body control, a cue that has not been made clear, a skill that has not been repeated enough to become muscle memory.

Find that piece. Fix that piece. The pattern takes care of itself. So Join us this month for our Webinar:

Free Webinar, Tuesday, July 7th | 7:00 PM EST

Your Pattern Isn't the Problem

We are going to walk through how to actually diagnose what is breaking down in your rides and how to fix it before show season passes you by. A simple framework you can apply to any maneuver, any discipline, any horse.

If you have been running the same spot over and over and not getting anywhere, this one is for you.

New on YouTube: At the Ranch with Dawn & Jody

Jody and I have started our own playlist on the Chambers Ranch Horsemanship YouTube channel and we are having so much fun with it.

It is just the two of us out at the ranch talking horses, sharing what we do, things we are excited about, theories, what is going on around here. Real conversations, nothing fancy. Several episodes are already up and we are going to keep putting them out.

Go check it out, watch a few episodes, and let us know what you think. We are really enjoying bringing this to you.

Sales Horses

We have had a great spring matching horses with the right people. Duffy found his person in Carrie, and her words after the sale said it all: "Thank you for my dream horse." Doc found his match in Jill, the pertect partnership. It never gets old.

Available:

Ebony is a 2022 AQHA Black Mare. Naturally talented, good-minded, and smooth to ride. Shown, used for ranch work, and solid on cattle with sorting, tracking, and roping. Steady everywhere you take her. We are being selective on placement because she is just that good. If you think you might be the right fit, reach out and let's talk.

Chisholm & Roan Ranger are our two-year-olds started under saddle this spring, coming along beautifully and proving their bloodlines and mindset every single day. These are two amazing cow horse prospects.
