"I bought a young, very green horse and didn’t know what she knew or didn’t know. I started at the beginning just trying to teach her the basics. While she was progressing, she wasn’t catching on to things like my gelding. I felt like something was missing but had no clue what it was. I watched all kinds of videos from different trainers, trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. It was so frustrating! I was ready to send her off to trainer, which I really didn’t want to do. My good friend suggested calling Dawn for lessons. When I think of lessons I think of somebody teaching me the basics of riding or people who are showing at a high level. I’m so glad I did call!!! Dawn asked me what I needed help with and that is exactly what she has been helping me with. The Chamber’s are the nicest, most welcoming people I have met in a long time!! "My kids have been been taking horse riding lessons from Dawn for a little over a year. To say “I’m so glad I started this” seems mild for what I actually think. In such a short time, I have watched my girls go from no knowledge of horses to watching them mount up (correctly) and jump over obstacles.

 I can honestly say that at first it was scary as a mother, horses are very large and A LOT of things could possibly go wrong. I was very happy that the first lesson was focused on safety: what to do around a horse, how to approach, what not to do, etc. After a year, those fears are non-existent because I know that Dawn is there and she is the safest environment for my children to learn. My girls have grown to love the horses that they ride and their instructor(s). When asking an 8 year old and a 6 year old about what they thought about their lessons after all this time, I get the response of “can we go every day?!”If you want yourself and/or your child to take lessons, I highly recommend Dawn Chambers and her family."
