There is nothing like the experience you get from working alongside knowledgeable and caring instructors during an in-person clinic. We proudly offer single and multi-day clinics on the following topics: Horsemanship, Body Control, Ranch Riding, Ranch Versatility, Trail Obstacles, In-Hand Obstacle, and Introduction to Cattle Work.
My husband and I had the pleasure of attending the Chambers Horsemanship Trail Obstacles Clinic this past weekend, and it exceeded all of our expectations! As someone who loves trail riding but often struggles with my own confidence and focus on various obstacles, I was excited to see what the clinic could offer.
The clinic was held at Double J Bar S Quarter Horses in Winchester, Ohio. The venue was perfect for setting up a wide variety of trail obstacles. We spent the first part of the clinic learning how to approach each obstacle with a calm and controlled mindset and how to set up your horse for the obstacle. The trainers Dawn, Dan, and Kim really emphasized the importance of trust and communication between the rider and horse. I loved how they broke down each obstacle, teaching us the correct positioning, timing, and body language to help our horses stay calm and confident. The groundwork before tackling the obstacles on horseback is the key and it really helped our horses understand what was being asked before we mounted up.
The clinic was incredibly hands-on, and Dawn, Dan, and Kim made sure to give each participant personal feedback, which we really appreciated! My husband has a “newer to him” riding partner and this experience really gave him specific tasks and goals to work on with his mustang to make their bond even stronger.
One of the most valuable lessons we took away was learning how to read our horse’s body language to understand when they were feeling nervous or unsure. This allowed us to help our horses work through their uncertainty and the specific task without pushing too hard. It was a huge confidence booster for both my husband and I as well as our horses.
The atmosphere at the clinic was relaxed but focused, and the group size was small enough to ensure everyone received individualized attention. Dawn and her team of amazing trainers created a very supportive environment, and it felt like everyone was there to learn and grow together.
If you're looking to improve your trail riding skills, general horsemanship, navigate obstacles with more confidence, or discover something new, like cattle work - I highly recommend this clinic and the trainers at Chambers Horsemanship!
My husband and I left feeling more connected with our horses and equipped with the skills to confidently tackle any trail obstacle we come across in the show ring, out on the trail, or on the ranch. My husband and I will definitely be back for future clinics!"

I would like to thank Dan and Dawn for a great day at the Horsemanship’s clinic last weekend. I took my five year old paint mare to it and both of us gained a great deal of knowledge and information. In such a short time, we achieved more pertinent knowledge than I have gained from taking private lessons from other trainers. The mare had not been rode for over a year. Her main difficulty was not wanting to move forward and we achieved that goal. In addition, I wanted her to be exposed to other horses. I recommend Dan and Dawn for training, clinics, lessons and for what ever your needs may need. I have been around a great number of horse trainers and I have to say they are one of the best. They are patient, understanding and use great coaching techniques. I will be a repeated customer.
Chambers Horsemanship really helped me improve my knowledge and ability on Body Control with their clinic. Dawn was super helpful and really knows her stuff. She's exceptionally great at explaining things so you understand them. One of the Best Clinics I ever went to!!!!

We had another day full of learning and confidence building at the Chambers Horsemanship Obstacle Clinic yesterday. I love the balance between leaning and information and practice. The pace was good and we had plenty of time to spend on each obstacle without feeling rushed. I always appreciate the hands on help and advice from Dawn and Dan!

A Heartfelt Thank You!
I want to extend a huge thank you to Chambers Ranch Horsemanship for the incredible support and guidance you provided to my daughter and her horse today. Your expertise and dedication have been instrumental in helping them overcome obstacles and build a stronger bond. The progress they’ve made is truly inspiring, and we’re so grateful for the confidence and skills they’ve gained through your clinic. Today was the first day Kynlee was able to carry the flag with Margarita and I was very impressed with her pushing Cole!
Thank you for making such a positive impact on their journey! 🐴❤️
